To examine the strengths/weaknesses, examples of, and appropriate uses of major quantitative and qualitative research methods in the process of developing and evaluating campaigns and programs

To examine the role of sampling and data analysis in the research process

To learn how to conduct a secondary data analysis that helps inform primary data collection

To gain hands-on experience conducting research that helps solve a communication problem, more specifically to translate research findings/results into actionable, evidence-based recommendations

To enhance collaboration and teamwork skills through work on a client project

To enhance presentation and writing skills in communicating persuasively, clearly, and successfully
Final Project
For the final project, working in teams, students will analyze research data collected and develop evidence-based recommendations around the team’s identified research question (RQ) on behalf of Future Founders.
